What They Believe & Why

George  and Stephanie are Jehovah’s Witnesses and spend the majority of their time and resources helping others learn the truth from God’s word the bible. Jehovah's Witnesses are a global Christian religious group. The name Jehovah’s Witnesses is a descriptive name. It indicates that these are individuals bearing witness concerning Jehovah, his Godship, and his purposes. (Isaiah 43:10)

George and Stephanie are included among the millions of people unitedly proclaiming the good news of Jehovah's Kingdom by Christ Jesus worldwide. Listed below is a brief summary of George and Stephanie's beliefs:

Jehovah: Almighty God, Universal Sovereign
"God," "Lord," and "Creator"—like "President," "King," and "General"—are titles and may be applied to several different personages. Stephanie and George believe "Jehovah" is God’s personal name, this is shown at Psalm 83:18. The name Jehovah (or Yahweh, as the Roman Catholic Jerusalem Bible and some scholars prefer) appears almost 7,000 times in the original Hebrew Scriptures.

Jesus Christ: Son of God, King of God’s Kingdom
Stephanie and George believe that Jesus came to earth from heaven and gave his perfect human life as a ransom sacrifice. His life course set a divine pattern and model for us to follow today. His death and resurrection made salvation to eternal life possible for those exercising faith in him. He is now ruling as King of God's heavenly Kingdom, which will soon bring peace to the entire earth. (John 3:16; 14:28;

1 Peter 2:21)

God's Kingdom and purpose for the earth
From their research of the bible, Stephanie and George understand that God’s Kingdom is the heavenly Kingdom for which Jesus taught all his followers to pray. Very soon it will become the one government over all the earth that will solve mankind's pressing problems.

The Bible does not give an exact date for these events, but it provides evidence to show that we are living in "the last days" of this troubled world.—(2 Timothy 3:1-5; Daniel 2:44; Matthew 6:9, 10; 24:3-8, 36). The earth will never be destroyed or depopulated but will become a peaceful paradise.—(Psalm 37:29; Isaiah 45:18; Luke 23:43).
